After signing up for NextGen Debate, members can immediately begin exploring a variety of resources and opportunities.

They can download the latest debate files, enroll in online courses to earn certifications, and connect with expert mentors for free coaching sessions. Members also gain access to a wide network of debate events, competitions, and workshops organized by NGD.

Additionally, they’ll receive newsletters with updates on upcoming topics and events, ensuring they stay informed and prepared for every debate opportunity.

There is an African proverb that says “It takes a village to raise a child” and in the context of NextGen Debate that means that our whole community must interact and play an important part in order to see our debaters prosper. Check below and learn how to master your role in your community. 

Workshop

Our workshop takes place in September and will introduce students to debate. It’s completely free to all our registered members.

Absolutely! We all start somewhere. We welcome all levels of practice so you’ll feel right at home in our community.

It is important that we have adequate information such as emergency contacts, health concerns, and more so that we can help keep everyone safe at our events. Legal affidavits are agreed to during the registration process and we intend to better our program by tracking every debaters progress. 

We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit  that is funded by local grants and micro donations. We do not charge for debate opportunities as long as we can afford to. 

Allow us to help you get debate started at your school for free! Already have debate? You can still come to our events. Please reach out so we can help!

Normally, yes! As long as CDC permits. We ask that everyone in attendance act and dress respectfully. Check out the event schedule and arrive on time; audience members may not be allowed in once the debate starts. 

NGD is fueled by volunteers so yes! There are lots of ways to volunteer and many that do not require any knowledge of debate. Sign up as a volunteer or reach out for more info.
