Workshop Sessions
There are workshop sessions for new debaters and returning debaters. They include an introduction to debate, debate strategies, the speaker rubric, debate basics, and more.
Coaches Training
We have a boat load of new debate materials and resources to share with new and experienced coaches.
Judges Training
Ever wonder what it felt like to become an esteemed judge? Well anyone who is 18+ can go through training and rein verdicts upon middle and high school debaters. Every school is required to bring at least one judge per 1-2 debate teams they have at a tournament.
Judges Training
We need judges to run our events and tournaments. In fact, every school is required to bring at least one certified judge for every two debate teams that sign up. You don’t need to have any experience with debate, just an open heart and willingness to learn.
An in person judges training will take place at the workshop otherwise, volunteers can register online and can soon take an online judges training course. However, we suggest doing both if you have the time! You’ll become a rockstar judge before you even realize it.
Volunteers
We need volunteers to help run the snack bar, help setup, and take everything back down again at the end of the event. If you are able to lend a hand please register yourself as a volunteer and let us know how you can help!
