I will attend all necessary practices as decided by my coach, research debate topics dutifully, and conduct myself with integrity, honesty, and good character.

I understand that I must read and stay informed with all NGD rules found on the Resources page (updated annually).

I will stay informed, follow the rules, and accept responsibility for illicit actions. I will (and direct my child to) abide by the rulings' of NGD judges/administration, exercise good judgement and character, and behave in a dignified manner at every NGD event. I will also assume responsibility for the actions of my guests and family at each event. Like my debater, I understand it is my responsibility to read and stay informed with NGD Rules found on the Resources page (updated annually).

(1)The participant agrees that their participation in NextGen Debate (NGD) is voluntary. Additionally the participant agrees to assume any risk that is associated with participating in debate events and release NGD from any and all claims of damage and loss that may be as a result of participation. The release is without limitation and includes the personal injury fees, attorney fees and any other losses that might occur to the participant. (2)The participant agrees to hold NGD harmless against all claims of damage and loss including damage to NGD and school property caused by the participant. (3)The participant herby warrantees that they are physically fit and able to participate in NGD events without any undue risk. (4)NGD maintainer the right to refuse participation in any event if they force that participation would risk damage to any party. (5)This waiver agreement is governed by the laws of California and any legal claims, court hearings, or lawsuits must take place in Indio, California.

I authorize the physician/medical advisor in charge of the emergency to give such attention as may be thought necessary if I cannot be reached. I also realize that local police or paramedics may be called, in certain circumstances, in order to assure emergency treatment. I understand that if I do not authorize said attention, that either I or an authorized guardian must remain with my child at all times.
